Gabriele is senior researcher at Civic Interaction Design, as well as head of program at the M.Sc. Digital Design, where he returned after a short period as senior lecturer for the LC Urban Interaction Design.
Combining his interests in playful and ubiquitous interactions, speculative design, and location-based experiences, Gabriele pursues a research agenda focusing on the social, cultural and political consequences of digital design. Previously, he was employed at Indiana University, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, and University of Bologna, where he obtained a Ph.D. in Semiotics
