Bianca is an architect and a PhD candidate at the University of Palermo, researching the theme of resilience through adaptive architecture.
She is part of the Unit In_Fra lab at the University of Palermo, where she researches the relationship between architecture and infrastructure and also on the theme of confiscated assets. After her MA in Architecture, she worked and in architectural firms and she won a scholarship for a period of study at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam. In 2019 she began her PhD studies with a scholarship from the University of Palermo, investigating the theme of resilience through adaptive architecture and digital systems.
She is currently visiting researcher in the Civic Interaction Design research group, in the project ‘From Prevention to Resilience: Designing Public Spaces in Times of Pandemics’.
