Earlier this year, Martijn de Waal was a member of the editorial board of ‘This is not a Simulation’, set up by the Stimuleringsfonds Creatieve Industrie, the Federatie Creatieve Industrie and the Dutch Design Foundation. The assignment was to develop a program for the creative industry regarding the Corona outbreak. One of the results of this is a call to explore new forms of intimacy and encounters within the public space with concrete social-spatial interventions.
