With ‘commons’, or housing cooperatives run by citizens, the housing shortage could be partially alleviated. HvA researchers Martijn de Waal, Zsuzsanna Tomor, PhD, Tara Karpinski, and Micky van Zeijl from the AUAS – Civic Interaction Design Research Group are collaborating with various commons projects alongside experts such as architects, designers, and social advisors. With the Charging the Commons project, they are identifying the necessary steps to make such a project successful.
