We are delighted to announce that Associate Professor Jaz Hee-jeong Choi has joined ARIAS as a member of its Advisory Board. ARIAS is a collaborative research platform and network that brings together scientific and artistic practices – its core partners are the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, University of Amsterdam, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam), Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam/Sandberg Instituut, and Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten.
ARIAS forwards research on the intersection of the sciences, arts, and other practice-based disciplines. Through their thematic lines and research groups, they stimulate transdisciplinary collaboration and experimentation, co-developing the supportive structures needed for such hybrid forms of research that make alternative perspectives on today’s complex issues possible. At the Civic Interaction Design Research Group, we have been strengthening our focus on transformative creative practices in recent years. We look forward to working closely with ARIAS as it continues to play a critical role in fostering a diverse and sustainable artistic research ecology in Amsterdam.
