Civic IxD receives three new project grants from Coeci’s Creative Innovation Call 2025

The AUAS – Civic Interaction Design Research Group is thrilled to announce that we have received three new project grants from Centre of Expertise Creative Innovation‘s Creative Innovation Call 2025! These projects explore the intersection of digital technology, design, and society. Here’s a look at what’s ahead:

𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘀, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗹𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆
Researchers: Martijn de Waal & Iskander Smit
Through a multi-day workshop, this project will develop prototypes and strengthen a network focused on how digital technology can support the community economy. We will assess case studies with the goal of scaling them into a larger research initiative.

𝗫𝗥 𝗘𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗼𝗼𝗹𝗸𝗶𝘁
Researcher: Mirjam Vosmeer
Developed by 16 researchers from the Faculty of Digital Media and Creative Industries at AUAS, this toolkit provides standardized, research-based evaluation methods for XR projects. Designed for both students and professionals, it offers validated industry insights into XR impact and usability.

𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆
Researcher: Micky van Zeijl
This project advances a digital education platform and a growing network of students, lecturers, and design professionals. It also extends an existing design framework, helping digital designers integrate functionality with collectivity in their work.
